AITP


The Association of Information Technology Professionals

AITP is a National professional organization founded in 1951. The FSU chapter is now the primary student organization in the College of Communication and Information. The AITP hosts events that encourage networking, mentoring, and socializing with fellow IT students and professionals.

STARS Alliance


Students & Technology in Academia, Research, and Service

The STARS Alliance aims to recruit underrepresented minorities to the field of computing. FSU is one of more than a dozen colleges and Universities participating in this effort in the Southeastern United States. STARS Alliance students are highly active in FSU and the Tallahassee community in a wide variety of programs on technology. These range from teaching computer skills to the elderly community to organizing and implementing a robotics camp for middle school children. Students are offered compensatory scholarships each semester.

WISE


Women in IT Sharing Experiences

WISE is a part of the STARS Alliance student group. The organization aims to provide opportunities in leadership and professional growth for women in IT. Students involved in WISE have the opportunity to obtain advice from experienced women in the field.
